The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing acute and primary health care services for acute or chronic health conditions while focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, compliance and counseling. Provides delivery of care in accordance with scope and standards of practice and adheres to the clinic policy and procedures. Exhibits and demonstrates the mission and values of the organization. All APRN’s will be working under the direct supervision of a physician.
Education: Master's Degree (MSN) in Family Nurse Practitioner required; graduate of an
accredited NP program
Licensure: active Kentucky Nurse Practitioner license
Experience: Previous 1+ years experience preferred
Certifications: Current BLS
Full-time – at least 3 shifts per week – (12 hour shifts (8a – 8p) Mon – Sat // 8 hour shift (9a -5p) Sun)
Rotate weekend & holiday rotation
Provide and manage direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses, treatments, testing results, consults and referrals
Perform laboratory and diagnostic testing and interpretation
Perform procedures such as infection management, I & D, splinting, and wound care
Provide patient education and counseling regarding treatment plan, medications, follow-up care and compliance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, as this position requires direct communication with staff, students, practitioners, and medical director.
Computer Knowledge: Must have strong computer skills
Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude; demonstrate professional/tactful customer service skills
