The Housekeeping and Laundry departments clean and disinfect all areas of the hospital, and are often the first line of defense against the transmission of germs and infections. This is especially important in areas where patient care is delivered.

The Housekeeping Department uses the latest disinfectants, as well as Standard Precautions, Airborne Precautions, Droplet Precautions and Contact Precautions to assure our physical environment is as safe as possible.

The Housekeeping Department manages the waste stream and disposal of all waste by approved methods.

The Laundry Department washes and manages linens and other reusable items to prevent contamination and the spread of infection.
