Post-COVID-19 Rehabilitation Offered at
Wayne County Hospital
Wayne County Hospital Rehabilitation Department is offering a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation program for COVID-19 patients who are at least 14 days post-diagnosis and are continuing to experience lingering impairments related to their illness. Upon receiving an order from their Primary Care Provider, the patient will be:
· Scheduled for an evaluation with Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Speech Therapy Services.
· Medically supervised by their therapist during all treatment sessions, monitoring oxygen saturation, heart rate, and blood pressure.
Therapy treatments may include, but are not limited to:
· Endurance Training
· Strength Training
· Energy Conservation Techniques
· Activities of Daily Living Training
· Cognition and Memory Exercises
· Swallowing Assessment and Treatment
